OMG I won.
This time I had a bit more practise before the race.
I tested with soft tyres but after 12 laps, even so the tyres where in the perfect temperature window, the tyres were totally worn out and the times dropped to .34 .35 .36.
Then I tested with mediums and could do, from lap2 to lap 19 always the same 1.33.low time and doing my fastest lap in lap 18. So I took mediums for the race and in case someone would take soft tyres, I knew, they will fall apart after 11 to 13 laps and I could then start catching up. But I think no one did and I was lucky again and qualified for the 3rd time in five races on the 2nd place (Thx to Jan and Dean who couldn’t start this time

).
As I usually had great starts in all the other events and while I got a place on the inside of the starting grid I dreamed about passing Gavin before the first corner. And I did. Then I knew I could fully push and squeeze everything out of the tyres to quickly get a little gap to Gavin and Kris behind me. It worked and then I hoped that these two were battling and losing more time on me. But iirc in lap 6, I saw Gavin running wide in my mirror and then there was only Kris behind me but ~2.something seconds away.
So I tried to keep up the concentration, and drive as steady as I could and to not miss one of the sometimes hard to read meter signs, I already started in practice mode to just aim for the first sign and then count “3.2.brake”

instead of trying to read 200,150,100. That also worked.
I tried not to check the lap times or the gap time between me and Kris for the rest of the race, and just tried to drive consistently to the end but 3 laps to go I started thinking (which is usually not good) and looking at the times as Kris was coming closer. Then I pushed for another 1.32 in lap 17 and also in lap 18 but I still had the feeling he was coming closer.
So I really tried to not make a mistake in the last lap but somehow panicked a bit and did twice and Kris was almost in my trunk but I closed the door on the uphill spot so he couldn’t pass me, and I knew that it then would be very hard to pass for him if I would not do anymore mistakes in the final half lap. but he really put some pressure on me in the last laps I tell ya.
Last but not least I’d like to dedicate this win to Dean Snell as without his amazing qualy and race setups I wouldn’t have won this. Thanks mate for sharing it.
