atc-bl1-gp Last sunday on the 14th of June T7R|Three Jump and T7R| BBO started again in a 60 laps GP from the ATC Team.

The track and car combo this time was a reminder of the good old demo times:
The XFG around Blackwood.

We didn't practised and had chosen 3j's setup in the very last minutes before the 25 minutes of qualification started.

But it worked well. The setup was great and we both moved up the grid quickly. Jan was leading and Bernd on the 2nd place after 5 minutes. Still improving the laptimes by 0:00.05 here and 0:00.10 there.

After 10 minutes ATC gAg took the pole with a fantastic 1:34.00 and we couldn't beat that time in the rest of the qualy.
So Three Jump got the 2nd place with a 1:34.10 followed by BBO by only 0:00.01

Here are the complete qualification results.

Only dt.Danas L. is missing as he only joined the race later.

The race started and ATC Franky500 made a jump start. Which was bad for BBO as he was attacked by him and instantly passed and slowed down at T1. During that ATC Dadge was also passing BBO while Three Jump could pass ATC gAg for the lead at T1.

Then the hard part started for T7R| BBO he was sandwiched by 3 ATC guys in front and 3 LR| guys in the back. While T7R|Three Jump could increase his lead second by second.

After a few laps with really close racing the field parted and now only the quickest laps counted.

BBO passed gAg to get the 3rd place again and Three Jump was leading in front of Dadge. But soon after this ATC gAg counter attacked BBO and was 3rd again.

After 15 laps we noticed that ATC Dadge maybe had a problem because he was loosing time on 3j and gAg still chased by BBO came closer and closer round after round.

In lap 23 and 24 Dadge who had engine problems was passed by ATC gAg and T7R| BBO while Three Jump was still leading by 5 seconds. After various attempts and being stuck behind ATC gAg for 26 laps BBO finally passed him mid of the race in lap 32 and then he could instantly pull away from him.

But another problem occurred:
Jan who was leading the field by some seconds lost 4 to 5 tenth every lap on BBO.
Thank god we could use our new Teamspeak server provided by our new sponsor 4Players.de we talked a bit about the splits and laptimes and finally we found out that it was also an engine problem. Then we decided to let Bernd pass Jan without fighting in lap 38.
passing
Jan was pushing hard for the rest of the race but couldn't keep the others on the straights behind as his engine didn't  allowed him to do so. D. Kheireddine passed him for the 2nd and then gAg but still 15 laps to go. I bet that wasn't fun at all being a sitting duck there. Bernd was now in the lead but couldn't hold up D. Kheireddine who was doing a few 1:33.xx laps and he took the lead after five laps in lap 46.

The rest of the race is quickly told:
After all the pit stops were done. Three Jump was also passed by ATC Franky500 and Jan finished on the 5th place with his broken car. T7R| BBO passed Kheireddine again because of the pit stop but he also had to pit and to refuel again as he miscalculated (like a few other too) the fuel usage. So in the end Kheireddine finished in front of T7R| BBO followed by ATC Franky500 who passed ATC gAg in the 2nd last corner of the last lap for the 3rd.

But like usual we had some rules and were told them again before the race started:
Obey the pit lines else it's a +15 time penalty. Unfortunatly for them, some of the drivers forgot about that.
And so some penalties has to be given:
LR|VoiD - Lap 31 cutted pit entry +15 seconds time penalty
dt.Danas L. - Lap 42 cutted pit entry +15 seconds time penalty
D. Kheireddine - Lap 57 cutted pit entry +15 seconds time penalty and changes place with T7R| BBO

Here is the inofficial result of the race
but there is no doubt about it that it will be also the offical final result:

Here you can watch the entended statistics of the race.

So in the end is was again another victory for the Triple 7 Racing team.
