What a wonderfull and successfull weekend for the Triple 7 Racing Team. We went to Aston National with 3 drivers and 3 different strategies for the first OLFSL S2 race.

T7R|Three Jump and T7R| BBO started for the 40 laps race in the top Pool1 and T7R| Bismarck decided to start in Pool2.

Here is a short report with some pictures...

Qualification

This time there was no qualification in front of the race. To take part in the pools you only had to upload a hotlap.T7R|Three Jump made the 4th and T7R| BBO the 12th in pool1, T7R| Bismarck uploaded a slower one, just to make sure he could start in pool2.

Pool 1:

T7R|Three Jump showed a really great fight in the leading group. His strategie was doing fast laps directly from the start untill the tires forced him to slow down his lap times a bit.

T7R| BBO drove another strategie, knowing that he is a really fast starter, he choosed to take a bit more fuel onboard. The goal was to gain a few places at the start and then stay away from all trouble and drive slower but stable laps and save the tires for some quick last laps before pitting and finishing the race.

Pool 2:

T7R| Bismarck known as as fast driver tried to rock pool2 but his strategie went wrong after he had contact with the sandpit in the long righthander after the start of Aston National in lap 2. But he gave everything and tried to pass as many drivers as possible in the next 38 laps.

The last laps can give you all or nothing

Pool 1:

After ocr | RudiTurbo crashed with an MRNL driver at full speed under yellow! in lap 38 Steven"kraniwani"Kranhold couldn't do anything and crashed into ocr | RudiTurbo and they both got a lot of damage on their cars. But they don't went to the pits, they tried to stay on track but in lap 40 ocr | RudiTurbo also blown one of his front tires and T7R|Three Jump and T7R| BBO could easily pass him. So 3j finished on the 2nd place and BBO on the 5th.

Pool 2:

T7R| Bismarck was really unlucky having this sand-accident on lap 2 ruining his tires and strategie at an early stage of the race. So he had to start his chase from the very last place. He speculated that some more drivers are on a one stop strategie and blow their tires but as far as i could see only ToAsTer toasted his front tires and [dsRC]Micheal who crashed after loosing his tire in the last turn of the race and beached his car then in the chicane. So after a fantastic chase T7R| Bismarck ended up on the 5th place in Pool2.

Some stats:

Highest climber in Pool1 T7R| BBO from 11 to 5
Highest Top Speed in Pool1 by T7R| Three Jump 243.34 km/h
Fastest lap in Pool2 T7R| Bismarck (Bismarck) 1:57.34

You can see full stats and download the replays on "The Original LFS League" (OLFSL) website
Go and have a look.

Next Race:

The next race will be held at the 21st of August 2005 on the Aston Cadet track with the UF1000 cars. There will be 2 races: A 4 Lap sprint race first and then a 16 lapper.

Cya there,

T7R| BBO (0) Comments
