Hello racers! After a little break and investigative search for new questions I’m proud to present you the third Interview, today with an incredible nice guy. He is nearly unstoppable in every car / track combination you choose and he is also the winner of our first Internal Championship. And even when he is not winning a race, you can be sure he is on the podium. So give this guy a warm applause and say “Hello Interceptor” Interview with [T7R] Interceptor Hi ho Interceptor, thanks for taking the time to answer a few questions. *blush* Thanks for the nice intro 3j ![]() Go ahead - nothing too tricky though! ![]() Q1: Ok, when have you been born and what’s your real name and where are you living? My real name is Christopher David Hart, born in Nottingham, England in 1967. Q2: What do you do when you’re not in front of your PC? Do you have any other hobbies? You mean there are other hobbies?? Yeah I do spend quite a bit of time on here, if not racing I am usually building some website or other. Time away from the computer is usually spent with my girlfriend...watching tv, going out for a drive, cinema....all the usual things. I've just bought a new digital camera so I am going to be taking up photography in a big way. I've armed myself with lots of books and I'm going to see what I can do!Speaking of art: Q3: Your favorite: - musician / band; - movie; - book and why? Tough question when I'm not allowed to think about it too much. Musician, well I'm going to have to go for a band I've followed for some years now called the Utah Saints. They are a UK band and basically paved the way for the likes of the Chemical Brothers. I love the way they are not restricted to a particular sound or instrument. They use any number of natural sounds to form their instruments. Movie, close run thing between the Matrix, Terminator II and Die Hard. Book..it's one I read as a kid called The Cave. I was very interested in caves and tunnels as a kid and it sparked a keen sense of adventure in me. Short, but not too easy question: Q4: Please describe yourself in one or two sentences! After a some waiting: Difficult one without sounding like you have tickets on yourself. Here we go. I am easy going, friendly, passionate, focussed, supportive, helpful and I like a joke. Oh, some would say I am reserved! ![]() Q5: What are you working in your real life? What wanted you to do as little boy? Working real life. I work part time for a FTSE 100 company (It's a company in the top 100 of the London Stock Exchange. )as a web developer. I also work freelance. I don't intend to do this for the rest of my working life though. I guess I've reached a crossroads and am looking for new challenges. I've always longed to work in Television. As a young child, of course I wanted to be a Train Driver or a Rally Driver! Speaking of motorsport: Q6: As Shaun, Kristian an me we all started with Grand Prix by Geoff Crammond. What was your first PC game? First PC game was Indycar Racing by Papyrus. It's probably the game I've played most apart from LFS, although I haven't played it for some years now. Not my first racing game though. I had a Sinclair Spectrum in the early 80s with games like Trans-am and Chequered Flag. In 1990 I had an Amiga and used to play Stunt Car Racer, Papyrus' Indy 500 and of course Geoff Crammond's F1GP. Q7: Where did you found LFS and why are you called “Interceptor”? I honestly can't remember where I found LFS - it was probably on an old sim racing site called "High Gear". I first started with it Spring/Summer of 2002 in the demo days. I have called myself Interceptor in most games since 1989, named after a character in a UK tv series called, funnily enough, Interceptor! You can take a look at my site for more info if you are really interested - interceptors lair Any other advertisement to place here ? ![]() Not that I can think of! lol Q8: Can you remember your first time online in LFS? How was it? I can remember that time rather than my first race. I seem to remember having a good time, hence I am still here some three years later. It wasn't quite the experience it is now of course as setups were few and far between so I usually went with the default. I was using my old Logitech Wheel with about 5mm of throttle and brake travel so it was on the tricky side. Top all this off with a 56k dial-up connection. LFS seems to be an expensive game (wheels, pc's, internet connection....) Q9: Please complete the following sentence: “Since I play Live for Speed”… ....my girlfriend doesn't see me as much as she used to! Q10: What was your most memorable time in LFS? So many, from my first month of racing on S1 with many close races in an RB4 around SC Unofficial 1, a close race with Shaun which resulted in me being asked if I'd like to join the team and of course, several memorable, heart pounding races in the T7R IC (Internal Championchip). And now please feel free to say what you ever wanted to say to your audience! Congratulations on staying awake long enough to read this far! I look forward to racing you all in the next championship and hopefully catching a distant glimpse of you in my rear view mirror! ![]() ![]() Thank you Chris for taking the time to answer my questions, I hope you enjoyed it. Thank you 3j! I hope I did okay! (0) Comments |
