This rodent doesn't need no introduction. He has been around since before the devs had the chance to finish the GTT. He was apart of one of the most memorable teams, Boomerang Rapido. Everybody loved his skin designs for BR and dE, and it is with great pleasure to have him in the T7R Camp.
Without further adue, please welcome Gopher04.
Interview with T7R| Gopher04
Hello Gopher04 thx for joining this little Interview
Omg
Ok, here is the first (and easiest) question: What is your real name, when were you born and where are you living?
My name is Mark, I was born on the 1st November 1964, and I live in a village called Stubbington, on the south coast of the UK.
Please describe yourself with at least 5 sentences!
Jeez this is hard, any tips
nope
lol, slap.
I'm a fairly laid back and an easy going sort of a guy, just tend to take things as they come day by day and try not to let things stress me out. I've been married for 8 years now, and have one lovely daughter who has changed my outlook on life so much.
I tend to limit myself to a certain amount of friends, I prefer to have twelve close and trust worthy friends rather than fifty people who are not reliable.
Is there any special story why you are called gopher04?
As for my driver name, that came about when I work in my first job, I was known for chasing the young women that walk in, trying to get them out for a drink, so I got the name Gopher because "Go for this GO for that" the 04 came in because it was code name I use to use on the CB radio days, there was a group of six of us labelled 01 to 06.
What are you doing when you're not in front of your pc, in other words: Do you have a real life?
lol
Not a lot at the moment, its basically get up, go to work, come home, have sometime with my daughter, give the wife 5 minutes, then down to some racing, or skinning, off to bed, and then its starts all over again, occasionally nip out at weekends for some drinks. When you're 40 and married that's what it is like.
What did you wanted to do when you were a little boy, what are you working now?
I wanted to work with motor bikes, and I did for awhile, as my father managed one of the bigger outlets down this way, but after awhile moved on. As for right now I'm a professional driver, I drive owners and directors from big companies to where they want to go, and no I'm not a chauffeur.
Please complete the following sentence: "Since I play Live for Speed..."
I see less and less of the wife.
Rofl
What made you choose T7R?
Whilst being a solo driver after leaving dE/BR, I started looking for drivers that were good to race with, and I started using servers where I kept on finding some T7R members, I found them helpful with setups, great to drive with, as in fun, and in good clean racing, and of a high standard as well, so for while I made sure I found one of there members to race against, and they all seemed to have the same qualities, I had already been approached as such by Fordman, but I needed time on my own for awhile, then after I got to know the team, I asked Fordman about becoming a member, the team just has the same approach as Boomerang Rapido had, so that was good enough for me.
How did you find Live for Speed, in other words: Who was the pusher?
Do I get a fee for this?
No
Hehe
Please tell us the three things you would take with you to a lonely island and why?
Ghetto blaster, can't be without music. A shite load of batteries to run the god dam thing. And a large umbrella, due to the fact I get sun burnt on my head very easily.
What's your motto?
Get high when ever you can
In connection to that:
Your favourite drink when you are racing?
Any form of real ale.
What is your favourite Track in Live for Speed and why?
Kyoto Long, just the love the flow to it, and reminds me in places of Suzuka.
What was your dream when you were young? Is it still your dream, or is there a new one?
Not so much when I was young, but I just want to see virtual reality up and running and be able to try it out, and I still think that way now.
The audience is yours, feel free to speak to your fans
Can't wait to meet you at the meet.
Well I'll make this quick as 3j is getting bored, LFS is the best online sim around at the moment, and may it continue, it's kept me happy, even through bad times, but then again so has nutters like Fordman, so I'll keep racing and skinning for as long as I can, and being 40, that's not much longer, lol. Best bit for me has been the friends i have made over the years, and now I get to meet them soon as well.
Ok, that's it, I hope you enjoyed this little interview.
Aye well I guess, not like being jumped on
