Hello racers! The last Interview seems to be years away but today we present you an interview with a large see plant living in England. At the moment he's studying hard, but soon he'll be back on track and show us his skills. So please give him the usual warm applause and Say "Hi Seaweed" Interview with T7R| Seaweed Hello Seaweed thx for joining this little Interview Hello, no problems. Ok, here is the first (and easiest) question: What is your real name, when were you born and where are you living? Anthony Hartfield, Tony to my friends, I was born in Brighton I'm currently living in university halls in Nottingham and back home in Leicester when I run out of food. I'm 19.Please describe yourself with at least 5 sentences! Hmmm ok will give it a go, I'm currently studying computer science at Nottingham Trent University. I spend far too much of my time in the pub, and doing the usual student type things (cold beans cheap cider moaning about money etc). I enjoy spending times with my friends and of course playing LFS. I also do the odd bit of web design and digital art on the side. I'm fun loving social and always up for a laugh. I think that was 5 ![]() Oxford Dictionary describes seaweed as a "large algae growing in the sea or on rocks below the high-water mark" So, is there any special reason for your nickname? lol, well I often feel like I'm on a rock above sea level after a heavy night out. Basically my name stems back to years ago, I was signing up to something (can't quite remember what) and I wanted to use something along the lines of Seagulls (after my football team Brighton and Hove Albion) unfortunately the name was taken so I went for Seaweed. I started using the name to play Quake2 and carried it on with me right through my years of playing counter-strike and have used it for pretty much everything since. What was your dream when you were young? Is it still your dream, or is there a new one? Hmm I've wanted to make it to uni for quite a while so I guess I achieved that one, other than I'd just like to be happy, and be among friends and people I love. At this moment my main aim is making it through uni alive I know, Uni is hard Please complete the following sentence: "Since I play Live for Speed..." Since I play Live for Speed, I am one of the more fortunate people to have experienced in my opinion the best game ever created, and am a member of one of the greatest online communities I have ever been part of. Speaking of the great community. Can you remember your first time online in LFS? How was it? I can't remember my exact first game online but I can certainly remember clearly the early demo days. I raced a lot offline with the AI first before I took the game online. I remember when I finally did take the game online I was shocked by the sheer friendliness and enthusiasm demonstrated by my fellow racers. I still have old GTI setups from Orion and some of the Ocrana boys (Afri Cola back then if memory serves me correctly). Back in those days I used a terrible old Thrustmaster steering wheel which eventually broke from the strain of playing so much. I got so hooked on the game that I eventually left counter-strike completely and purchased myself a new wheel, and of course when S1 was finally released I bought my license straight away. What is the special thing that keeps you playing Live for Speed? Well more recently with S2 it's the dynamic nature of the game, changing tyre temps and wear make every race unique and enjoyable. Then there's the community itself and league races and of course my fellow team mates in T7R. I haven't been able to race very much in the last few months since I arrived at uni because of firewall issues. Thankfully I've managed to get these sorted now and all going well I will be fetching my wheel from home this weekend. I can't wait to get back racing again it's been far too long. I think because LFS is constantly changing and because of its unique development I will never stop playing. I love the interaction the devs have with the community and I love pretty much every aspect of the game. What made you choose T7R? The team itself really stood out to me within the community, I haven't met a friendlier bunch of guys in all my years playing LFS. I think it's the combination of fast driving and friendliness that will keep me here for as long as the team will have me, everyone looks after each other in T7R and I wouldn't want to be anywhere else. What's your favourite book, movie or music song? Why? I don't read nearly as much as I should, my favourite movie is hard to choose, I love film in general and studied it at a-level. My favourites include, Scarface, Donnie Brasco, American History X and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. Choosing a favourite would just be too hard. Your favourite superhero, why? Bananaman was always a favourite for me as a kid, I used to eat a lot of bananas in the hope one day I'd gain super powers, unfortunately I haven't gained any as of yet. Although I can drink more cider than most people I know I don't think that counts. Rofl *sips strongbow* If you had one wish for free, what would you wish? Well I think long life would get boring eventually, an ever-lasting alcohol supply would also be pretty handy, but I think I'll go with money; it doesn't buy you happiness but it would certainly make life a bit easier especially at uni And now please feel free to say some words to your audience. Cheers for reading, especially if you managed to read it all. Thanks to everyone in T7R and I'm looking forward to seeing you all on the track again soon (lets hope Scawen hasn't implemented a breath tester since I last raced). Thx a lot again for doing this little interview Tony ![]() no problem mate
