atc1The first race of the year went really well for some of our team.
we started in the ATC 60 laps GP event with our XF GTR cars around the Kyoto National Reverse track.

After the 25 minutes of qualifying we had
T7R|Exodus on the 3rd place and T7R|Pingo on the 4th place of the grid.
Followed closely by T7R|Three Jump on the 6th and T7R| BBO on the 9th position.

The start of the race was a bit rough for Exodus as he was thumped wide early in the race. He lost a few places and found himself back at the 8th place.

T7R|Three Jump experienced almost the same. He was turned around by the same driver at the exact same spot of the track and he was back in the last place with nice red tyres and flatspots.

But our drivers are well known for never giving up, no matter how hard it is or how far they are behind.
And so Exodus and Three Jump started to get back to the top. They got position after position back.

Pingo was lucky to not get involved into all this and was driving on the 3rd place for a long time.
Then he finally passed ATC gAg and was on the 2nd position in the mid of the race but he lost some place as he had some mechanical damage repairs to be done during his pitstop.

After 30 laps when Exodus and Three Jump had worked their way back up we had them on P2 and P3 and Pingo who had finished his pitstop on the 10 place. T7R| BBO also worked slowly on his way to the top. With a different strategy and a fully loaded car he was on the 4th place after lap 30 and after others had done their early pitstops.

In lap 33 the bad luck brutaly hit T7R|Exodus again and he lost connection to the race-server while leading the field by 7 seconds because of a power failure in his house.  Then 3j took over and led the field for the next couple of laps. When he pitted in lap 37 it was BBO's turn to take the lead for the Team. During that T7R|Pingo was hunting VoiD who was on the 5th place at that time.

In lap 44 when BBO had finished his pitstop as the last driver of the grid, T7R|Three Jump took the lead again with a comfortable 6 seconds gap. BBO was comming out of the pits as the 2nd, right in front of VoiD who was now on P3 still followed by Pingo. Still 15 laps to go.

Only 8 laps left and Pingo managed to close the gap on BBO.
And like Void he also passed BBO then they got away from VoiD and changed positions for a few times.
But these fights allowed VoiD to get closer to them again and in lap 55 he also passed BBO for P3.

Unfortunately BBO had a some technical problems with his pit limiter on the start finish straight
and so he lost contact to Pingo and Void. But VoiD had not enough fuel onboard and had to make
a splash and dash in the very last lap.

And so BBO could round up the podium on the 3rd place, with T7R|Pingo in front of him on the 2nd place
and the overall winner T7R|Three Jump on P1.

Next the Three Jump's fantastic comeback, the diff. strategy by BBO and the always hunting Pingo
we also don't want to forget the great race Exodus had shown and I'm sure I speak for all of us when I say:
"We podium drivers dedicate this Team success to you Charles.
May the bad luck catch someone else next time."

This 60 lap GP held by ATC had everything in it what a good race needs.
Nice and clean fights, some unlucky moments, great comebacks and lots of action and surprises.
If you or your Team want to take part in one of the upcomming events, take a look at the LFS forum
under ATC Events . Maybe we'll see us there.

Last but not least here is the race replay and the online race statistics
