2008-1-t7rThe last 3 months brought some really good and some sad news for our Team.

As already posted in the Team News section of our Forum, some of our long time members left the team because their real life doesn’t allow them to drive anymore or they found other interests etc.

First the sad news:

Next to Tristan (Tristancliffe), Jeff (Ball Bearing Turbo), Sören (Bismarck), Pieter (Noemfie) and Niki (Nikimere) who left the Team, we also had to say good bye to Basem.

Only Sören will still be around from time to time and work on some parts of our website in the background. So we didn’t lost him completely ;-)

Now the really good news

We also achieved some of the biggest successes in our history together as a Team.

In the 2007 / 2008 Masters of Endurance league we almost lost all our chances to finish on the podium when we only finished on a 5th place in the 24 hours of Aston. As the final points of this race were doubled it was a little catastrophe for us.

But we tried hard to get our overall 3rd place back...

Already short on drivers this season, we also had some engine damage in the 6 hours of Blackwood and raced for almost 5 hours with a damaged car. The 6th place was all we could get but it was enough to get back onto the overall podium as our direct opponents didn’t do any better.

The traditional season finale of the Masters of Endurance at Kyoto National was again a chance for us to prove what we can. And we did. With the best race results of this season , we finished on the 2nd place, we managed to finally finish the season on a well earned and deserved 3rd place.

Thx to all the drivers that raced for us:

Sparkydave, P1LOT, Three_Jump, BBO, Esben, Exodus, Basem, Richard,

and also thx to G.I.Joe for helping with the setups in the last 2 rounds.

 And some more good news

At the moment 5 of our drivers,  Jan (
three_jump) Esben (slogan) Richard (richard dk) Bernd (bbo@bsr) and our newest member Andreas (G.I.Joe@bsr) are driving their XFG on various locations in the Gentlemen's Cup

After two test races and the two real races that brought us points we have at the moment after Round 4,  two drivers who lead the cup on P1 and P2 , and the rest is not for away on the 5th,6th and 13th place out of over 30 racers.

That’s looking good so far but till December,14th when last race will be held there can happen a lot. And so we just hope that we will have lots of fun and clean races in the coming 11 rounds and that the standard of racing will be as high as it was in the first rounds.

To be continued…
