d34n0_1

Hello Racers!

This time I am proud to present you an interview with our only team member is is seening skirts all the day, but not always wants to!  He's also a nice fella who is always up a decent conversation and he can really bring up some unexpected arguments sometimes ;)

For further informations you can either go to Scotland and read the whole Interview with D34N0

Ok, here is the first (and easiest) question: What is your real name, when were you born and where are you living?
My real name is Dean Snell, I was born in 1966 in Epping, Essex (Yes I am an Essex Boy). I am currently living in a small town on the outskirts of Glasgow called Queenzieburn.

Please describe your personality with at least 5 sentences!
I tend to be a bit of a loner Workaholic, find myself waking up during the night with a solution to a work problem. I have been told I'm a considerate person, a hoarder of old computer parts and books.

I find it hard to throw away working computer bits even when they have become obsolete and still have books like the MS-DOS bible and Windows for Workgroups.

Last but not least I am competitive, I will play to win.

Obviously D34N0 stands for your real name. Is there a reason for taking the numbers?
It all started back in the early days of arcade games when you were only allowed to use three letters & numbers to enter your name in the high scores table, because ACE had already been used I chose to be a little different and used AC3. When the games became more sophisticated and you could enter more letters & numbers it became D34N0 and that's how it came about.

Well, we all know that LFS takes its time, but I'm sure that you still have other hobbies. Please tell us about them.
Other hobbies outside LFS?

Ummmm errrrrr, I enjoy going to the cinema with my wife and we have tickets allowing us to see as many films as we want. I have played darts for many years in different leagues but have found it difficult to find leagues where I live so have not played competitively for 10 years. To compensate for this I started Ten-Pin bowling and joined a league and had an average of 170 due to injury I haven't played for 18 months.

Please complete the following sentence: "Since I play Live For Speed…"

"…no other driving game comes close and when playing I loose all sense of time and space."

Your favourite drink / food when racing.

I tend not to drink alcohol when racing, but if I do it's a Budweiser or two, but then my driving gets worse and I give up. Normally it's a boring Apple and Blackcurrant diluting Juice. I rarely eat food whilst at my computer.

Your favourite track in Live For Speed? Why?
That depends on the car but I do like the MRT at South City Classic normal and Reverse as it's a course you have to be precise at otherwise the wall bite you hard.

Do you play any other PC games (apart from LFS) and what was your first PC (Atari, or Amiga) game you ever played?
I tend to play First Person Shooters (but not online) and progress up the difficulty ladder from normal to hardest. Other games I like are board and puzzle games.

My first console was a Commodore 64 and my favourite game on that was one where you were a WWII Spitfire Pilot and had to fly missions, take part in dog fights and earn medals to increase your rank but can't remember the name. I then progressed to an Amiga 500 and enjoyed playing the XJ220 game.

Can you remember your first time online in LFS? Why was it so special that you still remember it?
My first time online was a pleasant experience as everyone was so helpful and the racing was clean. The reason I remember it was it was my first time playing any game online, yes I was an online gaming virgin before LFS.

What made you choose T7R?
I had been playing LFS for a few months and had been driving on a few servers with this person called Fordman (don't know if anyone has heard of him). We had some good battles on track and after a while he asked if I would be interested in joining T7R. The rest is history

If you had a chance to add one thing to Live For Speed (no matter what it is?), what would it be?
The tracks used in the BTTC (British Touring car Championship) as there are some great tracks with some unique characteristics like Snettertons Bomb hole.

Please tell us the three things, you would take with you to a desert island?
Well most people tend to be sensible with their selections so I'll be a bit different and here they are.
- Kylie Minogue
- The complete Barry White collection on a MP3 player with speakers
- Baby Oil.

Why? Because of all the possibilities and other stuff I cannot mention as there may be children reading this so it's left to your imagination.

What was your dream when you were young? Is it still your dream, or is there a new one?
I always wanted to join the Navy and see the world, but was unable to enlist due to a knee injury that still plagues me to this day, so that was blown out of the water. Now my dream is to enjoy my life and make as much money as I can the easiest way possible.

The audience is yours, feel free to speak to your fans :D
I have fans? Wow how is it? I would like to say thank you to all my team mates and the LFS community for their help in getting me to my current LFS driving level which may not be the quickest but I have some fun in the middle of the pack, and for keeping LFS fun. TTFN

Thank you Dean for taking the time and answering my questions.
