It was a pretty good race for me.
Quali didn't go as planned... grrr!
I got an early pole and had a big enough gap i thought i wouls have enough time to go eat mu chinese take-away! biggrin.gif
But J.Pickard put in a quicker lap with only a few mins left so i decided to go for it again (while my curry went cold!), i crossed the line with 5 seconds to go and started my final lap. i did a 35.2x in the 1st split which was my best by .1 so a possible pole was looking to be on the cards. unfortunately i messed up the last lap.. ah well.

The start of the race both myself and J.Pickard got away from everyone else, both of us were making mistakes, but i made more, so he got away a little.
After a few laps i got into a rythme and J.Pickard made a few mistakes, when i caught up with him he took a dive for the pits. I didn't want to let him have a break on his own so i decided (and luckily my strategy allowed me) to pit with him. I made up a lot of time in the pits and actually passed him and pulled out about 2.5 seconds i think.
The gap for the next 10 laps or so grew and contracted, the last 5 laps i had to push a little because J.Pickard was starting to catch me a little, but it all worked out smile.gif
I hate this track and it's bloody walls! angry.gif
Not the worlds most exciting race for me, but the pressure was on so i didn't have a chance to back off really.
