Hello there fellas,
I got a question, I was looking at one of these 3D glasses.. http://www.edimensional.com/product_info.p...&products_id=29

I got a few questions about these hoping that some of you might have experience with them... How well do they actually work? I got a 19inch monitor, about 3 years old, and refresh rate is about 60hz I believe but it says 70hz is recommended, will that be a problem?
I mean if I have a real good PC, will that make up for it?  smiley

Another question would be, is there any other 3D glasses you guys can recommend?

Well my trivia here is done  lol
Thanks for all your help fellas

I have some cheap shutter-glasses from ASUS that came with my graphicscard. Its funny, but the effect is not that big as i thought. And the BIGGEST problem is: if u dont have a highclass-monitor that is able to do at least 120Hz at your resolution, u will get hurting eyes and headache after around 10-20 minutes of play. You have to imagine, that u need a double so high frequency as u will see, because your glasses show 1 image at the left side and block the other one and then it changes and show the other image at the other eye and the other one is blocked. So my monitor is able to do 120Hz@800x600 so i see real only 60Hz which is compared to my normal 100Hz really bad. And this causes headaches. I have no idea whats about LCD/TFT's. But if u want to use 3d u need a very good monitor.
Another problem is that the glasses should really suit to your head. My glasses just fall of my head, because the case is cheap.

Maybe they improved the technology over the years, but i am healed from the wish to have this gadget.
You should also have a look whether your graphiccarddrivers support 3d-technology. Nvidia has some usable drivers. Don't know about Radeon. If u use drivers of your card-manufacturer, they are often not that actual or don't work with, for instance NVidia ones.

I once had some Asus shutter glasses too and I used them with my IIyama 19"CRT-Monitor (with  144Hz @ 1024x768). But i played only twice with them.

After half an hour of playing i got such a big headache and of course a little hurting eyes  (started minutes after playing) and i had the feeling i was close to an epeleptic attack. I felt dizzily for more then an hour (that wasn't funny at all).   Wink

Same thing happend when i used them the 2nd time. angry I was totally disapointed with these glasses and i never used them again.

Guys,
Thanks a lot for replying so quickly..
I made a small mistake, my monitor can go up to 180hertz according to my monitor display settings... I tried putting it at 120hz and everything looks fine...
Now I guess one last question... Is it worth the $ ? Kinda having a feeling of trying it out, lol someone plz discourage me  lol

Well, what about the Frex Panel Things ( cannot remember the proper words ) they seem better than the glasses, and if you want to be a pilot, then your eyes are you tools, so don't mess them up Basem.

Tbo, why not sell your CRT, save ur money and get a TFT screen?  seems a better solution to me, as you will not waist any money, and as u see here, nobody has posted a good comment about the glasses?

http://www.frex.com/gp/

Scroll down to the Frensel Lense see what u think
