I'm not convinced by 3D myself, I've not even seen a 3D movie yet.
Fair enough if you're 13 and are impressed by a Transformers movie with 90 mins of explosions, but I think it's a fad that adds nothing to story telling.

3d gaming might by more interesting. I bought 3D shutter glasses years ago, since gathering dust due to change in graphics card and LCD monitor
