Yes the special word is "maybe"  Smiley
(I know why I used it there)

Unfortunately you need a lot of time to organize things like that and if you want to do it perfect.

The most things with other racing events or series, season etc. I really really really REALLY hate is:
They tell you lots of things and they never happen (or happen in time)
Like the results, replays, standings, statistics are there in the next xy hours after the race, but no one checks the replays for penalties, rules etc. etc. etc.
And after 2 or 3 races also the makers of the series loose interests.
I sometimes can't believe that.
They have a plan and rules and in the end no one cares or is to lazy to care about.
That's why I at first started to do things like that (with helping the Danish Racing Cup from Richard DK and various other events and things)

TBH In the last months I had not enough time to do it like the first TDC was done.
So that's why it's still on hold.
If I do it again then I need enough time as it should be done like the last time.
Nice promotion, clear rules, qualy, race, then 2 or 3 hours later the results including penalties,
statistics and quickly after that a racing report and so on.

But I'm sure sooner or later I'll find the time for another season.
Sept. and Oct. is looking good for things like that, but I can't promise anything
(but I can assure you that I stil have unfinished plans in my desk   Smiley )
But I say again maybe because you also need a bit of self sacrifice to spent your (lots of)  time for things like that.

The original idea was to do the next TDC with the scirocco but it looks like we have to wait for that car till the end of sept./early oct. Wink

Anyway it would be great if you would take part
as all I saw so far from you was great racing  icon_thumleft
The last season was really great and I think most of us had lots of nice races there.
And the more good and clean drivers take part the better will be the next season.

Dang Your posts are a good read every time Smiley

Been there, saw that - our little polish cup that just ended is a perfect example for that.  Two rounds back there were even no administration in the race...explanation: i was too tired after going out and you had admin pass...wth i wasn't maker of this.  To add to that the further cup goes the less people were driving in it.. Same with all cups too i think. What a shame Sad If i can't go at least i can inform others about that fact not jst abandon the league.

I don't know if You are programmer or not but it think that with some mpr parser u can get points and results in a jiffy withut taking care of doing it Yourself. Maybe just checking for penalties. Just a hint but You propably know about that.

I'm not so sure about next patch, but i've quit waiting for it Smiley

That's my plan Cheesy
I'm currently not racing in any league except olfsl (just won  one of our polish ones) so i was looking for new one.

Oh totally forgot to answer here I think, sorry.

I don't know if You are programmer or not but it think that with some mpr parser u can get points and results in a jiffy withut taking care of doing it Yourself. Maybe just checking for penalties. Just a hint but You propably know about that.

The results are usually not the biggest time consuming problem.
It's often more the  rules. As no parser is able to check for pit line crossing yet  lol
But I found the quickest way was to make some statistics then check there what lap someone pitted then check the lap in the replay, then use excel to add +15sec penalty to the overall time, then sort for the final results.

But I spent the most time with organizing the whole thing and keeping the drivers in.
Of course I did lots of things before the league started (pics where made for every race day, list what to do after a race 1st makes stats, 2nd check for penalties, 3rd upload replay etc. clever  me laughing7)

But last time I wrote almost 100 people directly (and not always a standard text, in most cases a personal mail to get them in)
Then I spent some time posting after each round in 5 or 6 different forums just for keeping the drivers stay in the CUP after the first 2 rounds finished. As that's usually the time (I experienced that) people think "Hmm I'm not in the top then I'll not race there anymore"

Then a race report after every race and all in no time, so with the racing itself I think it was up to 5 hours I had something to do on and after a race day. Would be easier and quicker to write it in my language but that wouldn't work for the most   mrgreen

But I see some light at the end of the tunnel and I think the next one will come soon (maybe)

Hah u talk like Scawen Cheesy

True. If You want your league to be professional than it's very time consuming. There is no way of doing all this by one person only.

Hehe maybe I followed the God of LFS for to long  lol

True it's hard for one person but often it's hard to convince others (even my teamies tongue) to show some more enthusiasm. But I can't really complain as they usually help when needed.
All in all I think the most important part is real life stuff, as you can't expect that others have free time to spent when you have. But in the end we always did what we planned  and that's ok even if it takes bit longer.
