btw u want to win with Kliaudaitis? no way Having lots of WRs is one thing, driving 60 laps constantly with a perfect pit strategy another. I've seen lots of very fast guys fail there, so no one must be afraid  |

I've seen lots of very fast guys fail there, so no one must be afraid Well then pls check first 3 positions in current olfsl season. Those guys are aliens in hotlaps and in races. NO way anyone can beat them..only inet failure  |

I was thinking about entering this race, its been a long time since I did any organized racing or drove in a league, and this combo used to be a favorite of mine.
It turns out however that I cannot reliably make the date or time, I could sign up as reserve but would probably do badly due to not being able to practise for the next week, If I am around I may join TS and wish you all good fortune.

I think I will go with the UFR this time. Me too. Seem to be more consistantly quick in this car. Try this set attached. It has the R2 tyres from my setup with the suspension and gearing from the new WR. I have canned R3's as they will freeze in the race. I did a run up on the straight like in the WR and finished the lap on a 1:05.22. The set is mad-fast and think it will get us in the mid to late 05's in the race. I'm only finding the brakes a little unstable into the last turn. |

That set is very nice to drive. I made a test 30 lapper today with it and almost killed myself 3 time. Tires starting to get cold on about 10th lap. Made crappy 05.6 with it once....i'm getting worse at this.. Maybe test 60 lapper tomorrow ?

Yeah i have only managed about 20 laps. I am keen to do a long race stint tomorrow night! I'm curious to see how the tyres last. My experience is they are quite warm for the first 12 or so laps and then start cooling down to a relative temperature. But i think the tyres will get thin near the end and go cold. But wont the same happen for the XFR's? Possible tyre change required even? |

I don't think tire change will be req - like i said i made half of the 60 lapper and tires looked good even though they were pretty blue at the end. No control problems except when i lost my concentration 3 times and almost ended up destroyed on walls btw is pit req in atc races? Didn't saw any rule for that. |

Yes you have to make a pit stop (well at least it was always like this) (free choice to change something or to refuel) and "Follow the pit lines - (Entry and Exit) " (else +15 sec penalty) I think the ATC guys just forgot to copy and paste some of the usual rules text this time. EDIT: Wrote them a message to make it clear in the LFS thread. |
