Qualify
Well, after setting a new world record yesterday evening I felt quite sure to make pole today. But as it is with expectations I didn't manage to do another good lap after my first conservative try and ended up 4th.

Race
Start was OK, and I tried to stay out of anything in the first lap and let settle the race a bit first. I was quite confident that my set was good enough for the whole race with a bit of resonable driving, meaning not pushing at all costs. This way may tires stayed nice for the whole race and I was able to do good and fast lap times for the whole race.
Anyway, My hope was that the first cars woulod gain a gap to the ones behind us so I wouldn'T have to concentrate on the rear too much. With noone near behind me I could concentrate on the front and found myself soon passing one after another. Passing the others wasn't too hard as my set seemed to give me some advatage entering the chicane after the 2nd split, which allowed me to close up and pass there. After I was in the lead I could do some very consistent driving and was able to pull slowly away from the field. From there on it was easy, even the pitstop when smooth and I came back in the lead which I held till the end.

All in all a good race.

Congrats also to Esben who finished 3rd and the rest of the team for bringing T7R back on the track.
Also a big thank you to Esben and Richard for organising this leage  icon_thumleft

Qualify:
9th place wasn't to bad in such a field. Unfortunatly I couldn't drive really fast laps today so the.10.77 was ok.

Race:
I had an interesting race and my strategy (full tank, no tiress) worked well.

I thought I can't go the fast times of the guys in the front but when they fight they will automatically drive slower and I can stay with them even if my tank is full.

And it happend like this and I could hold contact to Kronvall and Kasper for some time and had some small fight with Kronvall in lap 5 or 6 but during that Pingo and Richard closed the gap on us. Then I thought better let him go.

In lap 8 I noticed some problems with my brake and for the next 5 laps I always missed the corner after the chicane and Pingo and Richard alternately tried to pass me then for the next 4 laps.
I had to show all my driving experience (some would say defensive line driving at the start finsih straight/T1 ) to hold them back.

In lap 12 my brake started to act like normal and I got away from them and started to concentrate on the guys in front again.

In lap 14 I was closer to Kasper and he did a mistake in the last turn and went to the pits. That was my chance I pushed 2 more laps and pitted and was then a bit over 3 sec. in front of him.

The top 5 drivers were to far away so I drove the last laps in safe mode and brought the race to a controlled end.

For me it was good fun and the 6th place was ok for me and more then I expected

I thought what a nice line up of players, when I entered the server Smiley I was very pleased to qualify within the top 10, as Ive only had a few laps practise.

the 1st lap of the race was great very close racing in these well matched cars, then in lap2 on the long sweeping downhill left (T3) I made tiny contact with Lasse it looked to me like he lost control and I thought maybe I had made him drive on the grass, so, before the same corner on next lap I knew I should slow and let him past, I didnt realise until the start of lap3 that he was forced back to last position.

I just drove the best I could to the end I think I made up a couple of places from last, but It was very boring after that.

very nice organised race Richard & Esben, was a shame so many people were asking questions after we all recieved the same e-mail that you put alot of work into. but thats always the way it goes.

Congrats to Jan and all the T7R entrants.

Some always asks questions even they got an email or PM..  Wink Sometimes it`s frustrating, bu we must live with it i guess..  twisted laughing7

I think i saw you back end step out a few times on the first two laps..  icon_tongue  Bu sad you had this little "coming together" because we had nice fights where you should have raced if not you had waited for Lasse..  notworthy
