Tonight my good old logitech stopped working properly after around 6 years or so. And since I suspect it to be the FFB-E-Motor I started disa´ssembling to whole wheel.

Maybe someone (Dave Wink) can help me find the specs for it cause all it says on the side is:

190159-1000
3F0842 30

Vendor appears to be Johnson.

I will start opening the motor tomorrow, as it looks like there is some loose copper wire end...

In case they have common items, I've got an old Black MOMO available for spares. I stopped using it when it became 'notchy' which is probably down to the gears.

You might be lucky enough to be able to just replace the brushes, they should be accesable without dissasembling the motor Smiley sometimes the springs that keep the brush in contact with the commutator can get stuck in its little holder.

If one or more of the windings are "burnt out" you will need a replacement motor.
If you do dismantle you can check winding continuity via the commutator (oposite connections to each winding)
A picture or 2 could help identify exactly what motor you need, and if its the same spec as the other logi FF products, I suspect all the logi FF motors pre G25 are very smilar (voltage/current ect)

Ill have a search to see if I can work out exact specs on the motor and where you can get one.

Well, it's not pressing me to do anything about it. I took the opportunity and bought myself a nice present today (read: G27) but I might have another look at it next week   Wink

Pictures will come for sure Smiley
