That was a good reading Smiley
Well as i looked at me replay it looked the same for me - he just moved a little towards you, touched you and you were off. Damn lag   - i don't know if i would held you back if that accident never happen. You were very fast on few laps.

About the alien - he just pointed about being silly not having practice or set for this.. hard for me to believe but hey ..maybe aliens make mistakes too Smiley

Yeah it would of been a good fight I reckon! Next time  Wink

They are human after all so it is possible! But both 3id drivers were rather unprepared for this, little surprising considering they are rated a top team in the likes of MoE and IGTC.

Well i guess they just classified this as a relaxing evening rather than any serious race event.  Not their liking. For me every official race i have is important and i can't start unpreapared.

Another little report:

I usually wouldn't start a race with no practice or without qualifying
(only did like 10 laps with Charles at the beginning of the week)
but this time I thought: Hey it's just for fun so why not.
Must be some racing gene inside of me that made me wanna drive that evening  laughing7

I found an old set of mine (was named 20L so it should hold) before the race and joined.
As I wasn't really fast here without practise I thought I try to drive smoother (slower)
but without tyre change at the pits.

But starting from the 25th, omg what a disaster in front.
T1 crashes , T2 crashes but lucky me got away climbing 6 places up
Lap 3 chicane crash on the backstraight the next big pileup
I choosed to go left around them but Void hammered into Niki and the 3id car flew into me.
BANG!
Then I came sideways and sledded for the next 2 seconds till Widdow hit me in the side.
My strategy and my tyres were gone at this moment.
After the next chicane Void was touching the tyres and I had to aVoid him but also touched him a bit with my front right.

I needed 7 laps to cool the red tyres down to a normal level
but couldn't do anything about the damage and the feeling of the car.
It felt so wrong and I hardly could notice any FF so I tried to change the strength settings on the fly.
didn't felt right but I could race on.

In lap 12 the left tyres were better but the right rear was still very red (I knew this will be a problem sooner or later)
Already on the 12th position my goal was to make it into the top 10.
What else can you expect starting on P25.

Then I was somehow stuck behind Phil still trying to adapt my driving to the different feeling of the
damaged car. In lap 16 I finally passed him.

In lap 18 I tried to pass dt.Artüras but touched him and so I backed off, slowed down and let him go.
As I don't like to be touched and passed I thought he also didn't like it that way.
So I passed him cleanly one lap later.
Now on P9.

My tyres looked better now but I was 15 seconds behind P8.
I started to drive a bit faster now always keeping an eye on the right rear.
It was still looking a bit to worn for only the 22nd lap.

In lap 31 Kliaudaitis came out of the pits right in front of me and then I started to drive a bit faster.
I think I found my rythem at that point and soon was on P7 because of some pit stops.

In lap 40 3j timed out (bad luck mate) and I was now on P6.

I noticed you had a bit of an "off" towards the end BBO... just got the corner wrong eh?
Caught Bernd after he seemed to have some mistake at the last turn
10 laps later (I knew it) my right rear tyre blasted on the back straight right in front of the last chicane and through the chicane I lost the car but could drive / slide into the pits.

Exodus ad Franky passed me (but that was ok) but then also Soko93 and Widdow were passing by.
Back in 10th. - Mission accomplished I thought.

But the next to drivers were only 4+ seconds in front so I tried my best to catch them.
All or nothing, I couldn't just roll out relaxed till the end  Smiley.

In lap 56 I was still coming closer and closer but there was also a backmarker between us.
He did gave room the first time I passed him under blue flag but this time he maybe had not seen me.
I don't know, he was so slow through the chicane made a mistake right in front of me and we also touched there. He could not win or loose anything there. So why not give way immediately as we were still fighting for positions. I don't get it.

In lap 58 I was right behind Soko93 after the first chicane and tried to pass him but had to leave the track on the back straight (those nasty fast turns). He tried to fight back inside the last turn/chicane but I knew he would try it that way, so I closed the door there.

Still 0.78 second behind ATC widdow and only a bit more the 1 lap to go.
Then he ran wide in the last chicane and I was on his back.
I passed him on the outside of the S/F straight and was 1 car length in front
when I decided to close the inside line at T1.

I had to brake a bit earlier there cause I had slipstreamed him and he wasn't expecting me driving that line and touched my back. I don't think it was a strange manoeuvre by me closing the door in the very last lap at the best passing spot of the track.
I wanted to make sure he won't take the inside line and maybe also crash into my side.
Nothing wrong with trying to keep the 8th position till the end of the race.

Except from the fact that I never seen so much crashes in an ATC race and that I wasn't really prepared enough for the race. I think I got the best possible result out of it with climbing 17 positions up.
At least I had some good and sometimes thrilling fun
