Great race, got a lap I was fairly happy with in quali and got a good start and first few laps.

Ended up in 4th place and with a nice gap behind, then my pedals died or spiked on lap 18 going into the last turn and I lost everything so I ran wide and into the gravel (The pedal bars disappeared.  Hope it was just a 1 time thing and they are dying?).

Still enjoyed it a lot, thanks all.

Qualifying sucked for me, the race was top notch! Made me remember the days of GC, thanks guys notworthy

It was a bit laggy at the start but managed to not touch anyone. Very clean race for me. And I also like to thank NightFly again, I had quite fun racing him. See you all next race, I'm sure it'll be this great too Smiley

Had a real bad qualy:
Was trying to check if the server is set to "mustpit" for the race
and then during typing I burned my clutch right at T1 lol
Then I had to wait like 9 or 10  minutes in the pits to cool it down.
In the end I was happy with the 9th place in qualy.

The race:
Had a good start and passed SparkyDave on the outside in the last turn of lap1
Then drove side by side with P1LOT through the chicane in lap 2 (scary   icon_silent)
Then I had to brake hard and almost crashed into [PM] Jwardy when he was turned around in lap 3 (there was only like 10cm between us)
After that Mikael Larsen passed me but I passed him again and then for the next 13 laps I tried to close the gap to Danowat. When I was close to him he pitted but I saw he crossed the yellow line (=penalty) So I knew I got him  Wink

Then next 12 laps I had a lonesome race was only distracted by the chatting.
In the very last possible lap (29) I made my pit stop but forgot to turn the tire change off (doh).
So I got 1 new tire at the back of my car and lost some seconds in the pits.

Then SparkyDave attacked me again and I tried to go side by side with him through the chicane but with the new and cold tire I lost the grip there and also touched the wall a bit.

All in all it was a nice race. I enjoyed it  Smiley

Last but not least
congratz to ATC gAg for the win (after all the top 5 in front got penalties  Wink )
and to everyone who took part  icon_thumleft

So, exiting quali for me, that was very tight. After that, plain race, some great passes sometimes but I was alone in the major part of the race. Thanks to D34NO for the great pass in the last lap. Thanks also for the organisation, that was very good. But I just cannot belive to be penalized just to cut the yellow line in the entry of the pits. OK, thats on the rules, but I think that is a very very strange rule, in real life that is 100% allowed... Anyway, I lost only one place, but that's quite frustrating.

Hope I'll see all of you next time. Wink

Very frustrating, look at the replay and see just how much I crossed the line by  evil and I get demoted 3 places, but thems the rules I guess and we all have to adhere to them.

But to get a warning for something that wasn't my fault  evil ...............

Nevermind, thats racing I guess.

Overall was a very exciting race, had some good battles and really enjoyed it, thanks to T7R for hosting and admin  Smiley

It depends on the racing series and the track it's not everywhere 100% allowed.
The (do not cross the pit line) rule is often used and seen in real life racing series.

Examples:
F1 22.08.2008
"Former world champion Fernando Alonso has been fined 10,000 Euros and given a reprimand for crossing the pit lane entry line during Friday practice at the European Grand Prix."

DTM 22.05.2006
"Lap 14 Drive through penalty for Mathias Lauda because of crossing the white line at the pit lane exit. "

OLD MASTERS EXHIBITION AT ZOLDER
"Rogier de Wit ... went on to receive another penalty for crossing the white line on pit exit!"

Here are our TDC Rules again:
-   Obey the yellow pit entry and exit lines. Do not cross them!
TDC Penalties:
- Crossing the yellow line on pit entry or pit exit: +15 seconds

I gave the penalty when one or more tires clearly crossed the line.
I understand that it is frustrating but there was nothing I could do.

The pic is just an example (could have been anyone else.

Yup  laughing7  notworthy , certain not dangerous though was it?, maybe warnings would have been more prudent in the first race.......but then again, you wouldn't have jumped places then  laughing7

Close but no cigar, also, the "pop-up" nature of the LFS pitlines doesn't help sometimes

No it wasn't dangerous at all but that wasn't the point.
The point is more that the drivers also have to take care about others things next to the driving.
More stress, more fun, more mistakes ...

maybe warnings would have been more prudent in the first race.......but then again, you wouldn't have jumped places then  laughing7
Next time in round 2 someone is starting for the first time and then wants also just a warning
as the others got just a warning in round 1 etc.
I think it's better to treat everyone in the same way in every race.

but then again, you wouldn't have jumped places then  laughing7
Now there is only missing that someone says it was all planned and I was payed by ATC for giving them the win  laughing7

Honestly if we have rules and penalties and then don't use them.
Then where is the reason for having rules at all?

Close but no cigar, also, the "pop-up" nature of the LFS pitlines doesn't help sometimes
I have heard that doing some pit in/pit out practise helped some people  Smiley

Hi!

Nice first round, happy that i could make it just in time. Was little bit late for the quali, hope that didn't bother as i read later on that we should have been 5min earlier to the server. Would have liked to have more testing so that i could have made slightly better setup. I had a good setup from the Gentlemen Cup race with we had earlier on in this track, but would have been nice to make it slightly better Cheesy.

So about the qualifiying. Got to the server i think 5 to 10 min later then the actual start, read the rules just before i entered the server. Was happy to see the pitline rule, i've been in a league race where they had some rules about the pitlane conduct but not clear enough penalties about it and didn't like that one bit. Well anyway got some good laps in and finally one really good one and got only 0.01s behind the leader. So the 2nd spot in the grid lot better then last time  Cheesy.

Then the race. First lap was kinda bad, messed up in the T2 slightly and Pingo got a 1sec lead at that point (I think would be wice to start wearing handsfree for the phone or just to turn it off). Anyway then we started chacing after him and it was a tight battle. In turns we were faster or slower each lap so nothing major until lap 18-20. On lap 19 got close enough to get in to slipstream and actually get side by side. Then trying to pass in T1, Pingo held the inside line in the straight and i was left with the outside. Left the braking later on purpose so that i could use the outside line in T1, but i left the braking too late and ended going slightly wide instead. Stayed in the slipstream after that and could try once more in the last corner. At this point Dadge had catched up to us so it would have been a tree ways battle from there on. Thought in the exit of the last corner that this would be the best place to pit as i was losing my pace while trying to gain a position. So made the pitstop and then got a clear track ahead of me and i just could start hotlapping from there. Saw from the map that Dadge and Pingo were close and thought that this would be an advantage to me if they keep trying to pass each other. My tactic worked and made my fastest lap on the lap when Pingo made his pitstop.
Got to the lead and the end was just tight hotlapping.

Today checked the replay and in the pitentry saw that i cut the line were clearly. Funny i really thought about the rule before the race, but in the middle of the race just forgot to think about it when i made my pitstop. Was sure that i didn't  cut the pitline until i checked the replay. Then checked the penalties was nice to see that it was also hard on so many other drivers  mrgreen. Well i think we have learned our lesson and won't do it in the next race....

The 2nd Admin G.I.Joe told me about the fight between you and Pingo.
He said you really have to watch it. He passes on the straight. then counterattack in T1 then again etc.
So that was the first thing I looked at when I watched the replay for the first time  Smiley
Nice battling and tactics there.

Then checked the penalties was nice to see that it was also hard on so many other drivers  mrgreen. Well i think we have learned our lesson and won't do it in the next race....
Yes please no penalties = less work for me  mrgreen

my reason for cutting the line was because i was caaught up in trying to stay/pass the lead pack. it was an honest mistake. i didn't even know i had cut it until i read the report. i even practiced my pit  stops. but i just didn't pay enough attention when pitting Sad it was a tough race (in terms of pace) for me. i was pushing 110% throughout the whole race and tbh, i could of went off at any corner. but i did enjoy the whole thing and it was nice to have such a ig group of cars make it clean (enough).
