Has anyone of you experiences with racing racks?
Can you recommend one? What about prices?
What are the things that might be important to care for?

I have seen the VPP Professional one, but the stories about missing support in the RSC forum ( i have seen also Richards comments) dont look very promising.

Racing Racks? You mean racing frames?
If I had the room for one I would build my own, that would be a lot more cost effective than buying one. Adjustability would be very desirable

You are right, it might be cheaper, but on the other side it costs much time. And time is money!
And after working at the environment of my appartment the last 3 weeks, i learned to hate my tools (i just cant see them no more for the moment  icon_puke_l)

My VPP Rack is very good. You should not need any support for it..  icon_tongue But IF you will need the support - they got the BEST support in the worl, but ONLY if you are mailing them or phoning them..  Smiley

The only thing VPP is not good at, is making prober wheel drivers! The driver for the wheel is not good imo.

But i would still be happy by buying another Rack from them..  Smiley

I also own a racing frame (BRD) which is very nice.

Pictures here

The price for the frame including the seat was about 1000 euro if I remind correctly?

Great stuff you got there Richard and VTX (nice pictures).
Man I wished these racing frames wouldn't cost a little fortune (600 to 1000 Euros is way to much or is above the limit I set to myself to pay for such things)

Looks like I have to build one my own some day -
Already talked to a friend who runs a car repair shop.
Maybe he can weld me the frame for nothing  Wink

You can build one very cheep in wood. My first one costed me about 200 Euro.

Pictures attached with the wood frame

That looks really interesting Richard (and I remeber your old seat).
Just saved the pictures and will think about it.

How was it with the (users) weight and the stability in general?
I'm not sure if it will be stable enough to hold weighty people

(damn I have to loose some weight next year laughing7)
or I have to do it out of solid oak wood (but then it wouldn't be cheaper I guess Wink )

If I could use it without breaking it, you could also...  mrgreen

Had no problems with it. Remember there was 6 wheels underneath the Frame... The two wheels places just under the seat.

Was very reliable and i fitted perfectly into the frame.

I can see/use the links.
Great thx for sharing  icon_thumleft.

Looks really interesting to me.
And you said it's robust enough, so I really think about making something like that now.
I especially like the wheels underneath.

I didnīt painted my Frame before i used it and that was a BIG mistake...  evil Get your wheel and pedal to fit, then assample it and paint!.. remember that..  mrgreen

For my keyboard i used a "door mounting"... so I could turn it in and out, so it didn`t took so much space in my room.

Look at the picture
