Hi.

As some of you know, im just about to upgrade my PC so i can start enjoying the brilliant LFS. I just wondered how my PC would fair with the upgrades i have planned.

Here is a run down of what ill be running..

Processor           AMD dual core 64 4800 (2.4ghz)
Mobo                   Asus M2N deluxe SLi
Graphics Card     Nvidia GeForce 8600GT
Memory              2gb Kingston ddr667mhz
Hard Drive          IDE 80gb main drive - USB 160gb spare drive

and ill be running it through the DVi input on my 32" lcd

Im hoping this setup will be more than adequate for LFS, if not i might need some advice.

Let me know if you have a similar system setup and how yours runs.

Cheers all

LFS is very configurable and light on system specs, my current config is getting on for 3 years old, it was cutting edge back then, but not now, and it runs LFS, full detail, 4xAA and 8xAF at about 90FPS.

I have..........

Processor          Intel Pentium 4HT, 3400 MHz (4.25 x 800)
Mobo                  Intel Bonanza D875PBZ
Graphics Card     ATI RADEON X800 PRO
Memory              1gb something or other
Hard Drive          3 x 160GB HDD's

I would imagine your prospective setup would be more than adequete for LFS

well i spose anything would be better than my 1.2gb Athlon and my Asus A7000...lol

The graphics card only cost me £20 last year after i melted my 6600GT.

Well my PC can now handle anything i choose to throw at it....so if you find any good stuff Dave, post a few links.

LFS now puts Gotham on 360 to shame, im hitting around 100fps which is quite a bit better than Gates' little box of tricks. My £350 was well spent!!  icon_thumleft

I've got a widescreen LCD at work and it was a struggle finding something LFS related to show off. This was the only decent wallpaper I found in 1680x1050. I should try and do a T7R related one Smiley
