Thought I would BUMP this thread, as it appeals to my situation also.

LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLE.........

Been away from the grey stuff, for a fair while now, but with the move all sorted, PC in place, ADSL up and running, and blown the dust off the wheel, its time.  Tonight I will be on MSN / LFS for the first "proper" time in a while, and what I have read about the RWD cars and Patch X, I seriously cannot wait to get back into the driving seat.

I might "hide" in MSN, otherwise it will take up all my time, and I want some serious track time.  Don't ask where I am going, as I will just pick random ( yes I said random not just FWD ) servers.

I hope to catch up with some of you shortly ( Mark, Gav and Dan ) was great talking to you last night.

I should be about approx from 8:30 - 9pm tonight

See you soon Guys, and its great to be back

well it didn't quite goto plan.  Sitting on a desk that wobbles more than jelly on a plate, didn't have my setups installed, and just felt really strange.  FPS kept dropping to 15fps ( and a dual core pc ) i so want my old pc back.  Anyway, on the up side, was really nice to actually see what lfs looks like again, and the friends around me.  My "new" stable desk will be delivered at the weekend, and i will get my setups back from old PC.

Then, its a man on a mission time Smiley

Thanks again to Niki, Morcs, BBO, Exodus and p1lot for tonight, was really great seeing you all

until next time

Yes was nice but strange to see you in a black car Wink

btw
I still get more then 15fps on my 2nd PC (with Athlon 3200, 1GB Ram and GF 5900)
So there must be something wrong with your pc -  or is it maybe the new DSL line has hickups?

Don't think the DSL line had anything to do with it BBO.  I think its the onboard X1100 Series GFX.  So question being, do I drop from the Athlon Dual Core with Onboard GFX to my old P4 2.4ghx with Radeon 9800 Pro  icon_silent

I think I will keep the Dual Core, and play around with the GFX 1st.

Black Car, tell me about it, thats what felt strange.  I felt "incomplete"  laughing7

Anyway, picking up old PC tonight, desk being ordered today, collected tomorrow, setup on Sunday.

You thought the garden chair I used to use was funny, I was sitting on a stool last night  laughing7
